Memorial Hospital West Central Energy Plant & Tank Gas Farm

The Central Energy Plant and Medical Gas Tank Farm project at Memorial Hospital West included the new construction of a 21,175 square foot addition to the existing Central Energy Plant. The equipment in the Central Plant included two new 2.000 kw generators, three new 12,000-gallon, underground fuel storage tanks and two new 600 ton cooling towers. The project was completed in several phases so that the new mechanical equipment can be installed prior to the relocation of any existing pieces of equipment. The two projects were built simultaneously. The scope of work consisted of site work, selective demolition, concrete/psi joist structure, infill masonry exterior with a stucco finish, miscellaneous metals, finish carpentry, doors, overhead doors, interiors, fire sprinkler, mechanical, plumbing, fuel oil piping, electrical.
