Memorial Hospital West Vertical Bed Tower Expansion

ANF completed the three-story vertical expansion of the existing Bed Tower at Memorial Hospital West, a facility we had previously expanded in 2011. Now a seven-story tower, this project added 96 patient rooms, including bariatric rooms, VIP suites, IMCU rooms, and isolation rooms, along with nurses’ stations and essential patient and staff support areas.

One of the most technically complex projects ANF has undertaken, the expansion was performed within a fully operational hospital, requiring meticulous planning to ensure uninterrupted patient care. A critical challenge was removing the existing roofing membrane directly above a functioning bone marrow transplant unit on the fourth floor, necessitating stringent infection control measures and precision coordination. Through ANF’s expertise in healthcare construction, ICRA protocols, and AHCA compliance, the project was successfully delivered while maintaining the hospital’s critical care services and day-to-day operations.
