ANF Group Celebrates Topping Out of the BSO Regional Training Center

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – ANF Group, Inc., a full-service construction firm providing construction management, general contracting, development, and design-build services to the South Florida market, celebrated the topping out of the new Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Training Center located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The BSO Training Center is an 88,000 square foot design-build project dedicated to training law enforcement officers from across Broward County. The main entrance into the training center will feature a 2-story memorial in remembrance of the victims who died at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.

“Today is a very special day as we reach this construction milestone on BSO’s new Regional Training Center,” said Al Fernandez, president of ANF Group.  “We are grateful for our partnership with BSO as this cutting-edge project nears completion.”

Led by ANF’s design-build team of architects and engineers, the BSO Training Center is a 7-story building consisting of a 5-story parking garage with 700+ parking spaces and a 2-story training space above.  The facility will be equipped with administrative offices, 250-seat auditorium, classrooms and training rooms, fire rescue simulation labs, a rappel tower, indoor firearm ranges, and all necessary support spaces to house the BSO Training Division’s administrative offices.

“Today’s achievement signifies that the Broward Sheriff’s Office is a meaningful step closer to having its own dedicated training facility,” Sheriff Gregory Tony said. “When completed, this state-of-the-art facility will reinforce and further my commitment to a comprehensive training approach in order to safeguard the Broward County community.”

The GC for this project is ANF Group, and the architects are RDG Planning & Design and Saltz Michelson Architects. Designed to meet Class “A” Office Building standards, the BSO Regional Training Center is expected to be completed in November of 2023.
