ANF CEO and MHS CEO Discuss the State of the Healthcare Market

Alberto “Al” Fernandez, President/CEO of ANF Group and Aurelio Fernandez, CEO of Memorial Healthcare System discussed the state of the Healthcare Market in South Florida at Bisnow’s First Annual “State of the Healthcare in South Florida”. This event which was held at the Marriot Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL and was set up by Bisnow to invite key players in the Healthcare industry in South Florida and have a discussion on Innovation, Disruption and the Future of Hospital and Healthcare.

The event featured many speakers including Ben Riestra, Chief Administrative Officer of Lennar Foundation Medical Center, UHealth, Miller School of Medicine, Michael Joseph, President, HCA’s East Florida Board of Trustees, FIU and Eduardo Egea, Principal, Healthcare at Stantec Architecture & Design, just name a few.

Some of the topics included:
Delivering healthcare services to a rapidly growing number of Americans which has increasingly connected healthcare providers and real estate executives in new ways.

Strategic use of real estate which has become a tool for health systems to reach more patients, compete, cut costs, and finance new projects, all while improving quality of care.

Exploring the impact and outlook of out-patient care facilities, MOB leasing, healthcare development, new age design & technology trends, hospital system expansions, the impact of retail clinics and emergency centers, regulation, and the overall state of the healthcare market.

This was Bisnow’s first ever South Florida State of Healthcare program gathering top-level health system and hospital executives from across the region to discuss the future the healthcare industry.
