It’s an exciting time for ANF as the Economic Development Group for the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance introduced its new Chairman of the Board Nelson Fernandez, Executive Vice President, and Principal at ANF Group, Inc.  Mr. Fernandez takes over for Jennifer O’Flannery Anderson, Vice President for Advancement and Relations at Nova Southeastern University.

There were more than 750 people in attendance at the event’s dinner, which was held at the Signature Grand in Davie, FL.  The night featured a keynote conversation between Broward College President Gregory A. Haile and Carlos Penzini, senior vice president of people at Magic Leap.

“I’m honored and thrilled to lead the Alliance as your new chair. In 2019, we will continue our efforts to grow jobs, make our business climate stronger and help make our businesses even more successful,” Fernandez said. “The possibilities that we can accomplish when we work together with Miami-Dade and Palm Beach [counties] to provide a voice for South Florida is boundless.”

The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance helped Broward County businesses secure more than $43 million in new capital investment and create 872 jobs during the 2017-18 fiscal year, the group announced at its annual meeting on Thursday.
